Cable
Storage
Oceanteam’s cable storage facility is strategically situated in the Rotterdam area with a deep quayside and an integrated supply chain for supporting equipment nearby. The North Sea offshore area lies right on its doorstep. This makes Oceanteam’s cable storage a natural base for offshore wind and subsea oil & gas projects across the region.
Quayside & Logistics
The quayside is ISPS-bonded, so cargo can be stored and handled under customs control without unnecessary delay. Vessels up to 160m can berth directly alongside, at a water depth of 9.0m, with 5,500m² of storage available for cable carousels, reels and associated equipment. This makes it possible to combine cable storage with loading and load-out operations at a single, integrated location.
Cable Handling & Transport
Alongside storage, our team manages the wider cable handling logistics chain, including loading, transfer and worldwide transport, supported by our fleet of cable carousels, track tensioners, loading towers and auxiliary equipment. Equipment is mobilised directly from Rotterdam or from project sites elsewhere, so cable movements between storage, loading and transport stay closely coordinated. Equipment is available for rental individually or as part of a complete cable handling spread, engineered in-house and built to DNV-ST-N001 and other applicable offshore standards.
Worldwide Service
As part of the Combifloat Group, our cable storage and handling services support projects worldwide, coordinated by our project management team as a single, managed spread. This means operators can plan cable logistics around one partner rather than multiple suppliers, backed by more than 15 years of experience in offshore cable operations.
